Black Cowboy Coffee
Eat & Drink Elephant Park & Castle Square
Black Cowboy Coffee was started in 2015 by John Otagburuagu, who spent nine years driving trucks across Texas before bringing his cowboy boots back to south London. The shop began as a wooden cart at Elephant and Castle market before graduating to a horse-box conversion and then a fixed unit. The interior displays historic photographs of Black cowboys from the 1800s alongside donated saddles and riding gear from Brixton's Ebony Horse Club. On the menu: seven single-origin Arabica roasts and Liege waffles, which are denser and richer than Belgian-style, served with toppings including spicy chicken and maple syrup.
