One of the older pubs in SE11, The Tankard has been serving pints since 1825 and recently reopened with its character intact. The first-floor roof terrace looks directly over the Imperial War Museum, making it one of the better spots in the area for a summer pint. Food runs to proper pub classics: steak and ale pie, chicken and leek pie, fish and chips, with Wednesday deals worth checking.
