Sabor Peruano
Eat & Drink Town Centre
No-frills Peruvian spot opposite St Mary's Churchyard. Beef heart skewers, lomo saltado, and ceviche at prices that have not caught up with the regeneration.
This is not a polished restaurant. It is a family-run Peruvian kitchen with plastic tablecloths and portions built for people who actually want to eat. Anticuchos (beef heart skewers) are tender and well-spiced. Lomo saltado comes in a proper heap. Ceviche is fresh.
Cash only — there is a cash machine nearby. The location opposite St Mary’s Churchyard is easy to walk past, which is part of the charm. Prices have stayed local even as everything around it gets fancier.
