Ministry of Sound

One of the most famous clubs on the planet, three nights a week. House on Saturdays, trance on Fridays, student night on Tuesdays.

Ministry of Sound has been here since 1991, long before the regeneration. One of the most recognised club brands in the world, and it is a five-minute walk from Elephant & Castle station. The sound system alone is worth the visit — custom built, regularly upgraded, properly loud.

Three club nights a week: Friday is The Gallery (trance and progressive), Saturday rotates between house music brands, and Tuesday is Milkshake (student night, cheaper entry). Saturday is the big one.

Expect queues on weekends. Dress code is relaxed but they can turn you away. Check the website for specific events, lineups, and advance tickets — buying on the door costs more.
