Founded by George Baldwin in 1844, G Baldwin and Co has occupied Walworth Road for over 180 years and is widely cited as London's oldest herbalist. The shop carries dried herbs, herbal tinctures, essential oils, homeopathic remedies, and a range of health foods and supplements. The original core business of herbs and herbal medicine expanded into health food in 1978 when the adjoining unit at 171 Walworth Road was taken on.
