Elephant Park
Two-acre park in the heart of the new Elephant & Castle. Lawns, rain gardens, the Elephant Springs water playscape, and the Tree House community pavilion.
Built on the site of the old Heygate Estate, Elephant Park is the neighbourhood’s newest green space. Two acres of lawns, rain gardens, and winding paths, plus a proper water playground — Elephant Springs — built from 300 tonnes of Italian stone with fountains and waterfalls. Kids go wild for it in summer.
The Tree House community pavilion hosts free events and activities. The surrounding streets are pedestrianised with cafes and shops. On a sunny day, the lawns fill up fast.
Right off Walworth Road, two minutes from the station. Free to use, no booking required. The water play is seasonal, so check the website for current opening dates.
