FINAL PHASE. 959 HOMES.

Southwark Council approved the third and final phase of the Elephant & Castle regeneration on 23 March. The numbers: 507 build-to-rent homes, 165 at affordable or social rent, 452 student beds, and a 20,000 sq ft cultural venue. Construction starts 2028.

This is the West Site, completing a project that has reshaped the area over more than a decade. The full scheme now totals roughly 1.5 billion pounds. Developer Get Living says it will bring 16 million annual visitors and over 200 million in yearly spend.

The cultural venue is new. Details are thin. The student beds will serve the relocated London College of Communication, which moves to the site as part of the wider plan. Construction is expected to take four to five years.
